I think everyone that attended exhibitor/organiser/members of the public all had a great time. The organisation worked like clockwork. A big thank you to all involved in the event particulaly Mark & Liz Perman and Jackie Passey and all the staff at the library.
The general public young and old went away informed and happy with an armful of free mags, star charts (thank you BBC) paper rockets and the like. Those that attended the lectures were informed and entertained. How do astronauts use the bathroom in space? one more time Dave. Thank you for the Planetary mnemonic too Jerry: My Very Excited Mouse Jumped Straight Up Nanny’s Pants ….always had trouble remembering them, but not any more.
We had a few paying customers too with Space icecream and keyrings the most popular items. It was a great opportunity to give out some postcards, have a chat and arrange a couple of possible future events with local groups.
After setting up our stall, I quickly did a photographic tour of everyone else in various stages of setting up their displays. I was impressed by it all, the enthusiasm was tangible. The camera flash was a bit hit and miss. Congrats to the Shaylers on their forthcoming nuptials.
Apologies for the people I’ve missed.
Had real problems uploading these files, kept them purposely small and still having trouble!
