Neil Armstrong, First Man, recovers after heart surgery

WKYC out of Cleveland, Ohio, has more details:

He is reported to be in good spirits and, according to his wife, Carol, “He’s doing great.”Armstrong, who just celebrated his 82nd birthday Sunday, went to the hospital Monday for a stress test.

He flunked, and Tuesday surgeons bybassed four blockages in his coronary arteries and Wednesday he’s recoverying as expected.

His wife Carol told Astronaut Gene Cernan, the last man on the moon, that Neil’s spirits are high and the doctors expect no problems with his recovery.
